My exchange in Ireland

  Monday, 19/9/2022. On Monday I got up at the same time as a normal day I went to school. There, I had a normal school day and only new thing I did was a new subject, wood technology, where I started doing a little ship made of wood. After school I returned home alone because Saoirse had a football training and at 17:30 I leave home and I went to Dj’s house, an exchange student who is with my friend Alejandro, to take Alejandro and him to the Irish music night at school. There we listened and watched school students playing and dancing Irish music and the exchanged students learnt Irish dances too. After that the school prepare some food and drinks for the students and teachers there.then we return home with Dj and Alejandro and there I saw TV with the family before go to sleep.   Sunday, 18/9/2022. On Sunday I got up between 9:00 and 10:00 and in the morning I did not do anything special, I only had breakfast and stayed at home with the family, but in the afternoon I went with all the family to see Saoirse’s sister football match, their team tied the match. After the match we went to the countryside to search mushrooms but we didn’t find any of them. Then we return home and we saw a movie on TV. After the movie we went to the bed. Here are some photos:

Saturday, 17/9/2022. On Saturday I got up earlier as a normal day because we had an excursion for all the exchange students to the nearest city, Limerick. We left the home at 7:30 and we arrive at Limerick at 9:30, then in Limerick, we visited the Milk Market, where we had an hour to visit it in little groups without the teachers, in the market, there was a lot of places where you could buy a lot of different type of food, after that, we went walking over the river to the king John’s castle, before enter in the castle, teachers took us a photo with a picture of a famous singer from Limerick, then we visited the castle and after that there was a space were you could were costumes from the past and visit the two towers the castle had. The last thing we did at Limerick was go to a shopping center to have dinner and teachers gave us time to buy whatever we want before return to the school. Friday, 16/9/2022. On Friday I got up like a normal day, but that day I didn’t go to school because all the exchange students had a school trip to Moher cliffs and surfing at Lahinch, both in West Ireland. We leave home at 8:00 and we arrived at Moher cliffs at 10:20. Then we arrive at Lahinch and we left it at 15:30. We arrived at home at 17:00. The school trip was too fun. After that I stayed at home and I played video games with Saoirse’s sister, Isobel. For end the day, I saw a movie with my host family. Here are some photos:

Thursday, 15/9/2022. On Thursday I got up at 7:00, I left home at 8:00 and i took the bus at 8:05. Then I had a normal classes day at school where I had Musical, English, Minicompany, Irish and Maths classes. In the Irish class we went to Language Assistant’s class where we met I teacher who asked us about Spain, La Rioja and Logroño. This day school an hour shorter. After school all the exchange students met out and we went to watch a hurling training, we went to a park and we played hurling at the park. Then we went home and i stayed with the family watching TV and talking. Here are some photos:

  Wednesday, 14/9/2022. On Wednesday i had my first day of school in Ireland. I left home at 8:00 with Saoirse and at 8:05 we got the bus to Scoil Pól. My first class was Business, in that class I met two Spanish students from a different exchange and we started a presentation about Amancio Ortega. After that class I had Physics but I didn’t stayed at class because all the exchange students had a meeting with the principal. After that i went with 3 boys and measured the football pitch at the ActiveFlag class. Then I had AppliedMaths, we did nothing special in that class, it was just a normal class. After that we had lunch. Then we did an activity were we got a sheet of questions about the village, Kilfinane, and we had went around the village. After that, I had my last class, environmental studies, it was very interesting.  After school I return home and I had dinner.   Tuesday, 13/9/2022. Tuesday was the day I arrived at Ireland. I left Logroño at 9:30 by bus and i arrived Bilbao at 11:40. After I arrived at bus station I took a bus from Bilbao’s bus station to the airport. Before  the flight, I had lunch, then I took the flight at 16:55 after pass the security control and I arrived at Ireland at 18:00 Irish time. When I arrived the exchange’s Irish students were waiting for all my exchange mates and me. In that moment I met my host-sister, Saoirse. After the reception we took a bus from Dublín to Scoil Pól, my Irish school, during the bus trip we stopped to have dinner and then we continued, we arrived at the school. In the school my host-father and with Saoirse’s sister were waiting for us, then he took us to the house and there I met the mother, after that I left all my things in my room and Saoirse made me a house tour, after that I went to the bed because I was so tired and the next day i had my first day of school.
